In a setting of great beauty, on the top of a cliff with impressive views over the sea, are the gardens of Santa Clotilde, in Lloret de Mar. This botanical garden, designed in 1919 by Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí, is characterised by its clear Italian influence and the formal coherence there is between it and the architectural work around it.
The Gardens of Santa Clotilde have several marble sculptures and are characterised by an absence of flowers, in clear contrast to the great variety of plants.
