The old centre of Pals is set on a small mountain, which conditions its visit, which usually has to be done going uphill. One of the most representative features of the town is the Torre de les Hores, a magnificent example of a circular Romanesque tower, as well as the church of Sant Pere, with a curious succession of styles that go from Romanesque to 18th century. The peak of the climb is the Pedró viewpoint, from where you can see the Medes Isles, the Montgrí massif, the Canigó and the Albera mountain range. In addition to the city walls and the medieval layout of its streets, in Pals you can find details in the Gothic windows, the arches, the wells, the thresholds of the doors and a wide range of interesting corners.
