A stroll through the Historic Centre of Girona is quite an open-air lesson in history and culture. Its narrow streets are a fascinating insight into the different people and cultures that successively occupied the town.
During this trip back in time, you will discover the magnificent architectural legacy of the city, from its cathedral —with the widest Gothic nave in Europe— to its labyrinth of streets in the ancient Jewish quarter, known as the Call, one of the largest and best preserved ones in Europe. Along the way, you can also visit the Arabic Baths, the Romanesque Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants, the Church of Sant Narcís or the houses overlooking the River Onyar. We suggest getting hold of a good map to be able to enjoy the ancient part of Girona at your leisure.
