In El Port de la Selva there are two coastal paths: the one that links Cala Fornells with Cala Tamariua, and the other which links the municipality with Llançà along the coast. The first of these routes can be accessed by a path that leaves from Cala Tamariua and follows along Cala Cativa until reaching Cala Fornells, all of which are areas of great beauty thanks to their transparent waters with stone and rocky bottoms.

This route, which is not long (just over a kilometre) is clearly different in length to the second coastal path from El Port de la Selva, which leaves from La Vall beach and follows the coastline till reaching Llançà. The route goes along La Colomera beach and to S'Arnella lighthouse, on the so-called S'Arnella peninsula, an area which, having been reserved for military use, remained freed of the building speculation that affected most land in the first line of the sea. The silhouette of Sant Pere de Rodes monastery overlooks the countryside.

The path continues towards Llançà enabling you to appreciate the peculiar geographical features of the area: the Cape of Bol, Castellà d'en Lambert island, Garoter point, Podaire point, Feliu point or Poc point and La Farella beach are some of the rugged relieves you can see from this path. The beaches that can be reached along the route are Cau del Llop, Les Tonyines, La Farella, Les Carboneres and Cala de la Gola, which is the end of the route, which is about five kilometres in all.
