Can Moragues is a social, environmental project that hopes to bring sustainable rural development closer to the public. The initiative started with the creation of the Can Moragues brand of jams and marmalades, made using fresh produce and local, traditional varieties, and it employs people at risk of social exclusion or with a functional disability. It will shortly extend with the opening of El Rebost, a shop dedicated to selling and tasting organic produce and local, traditional varieties of fruits and vegetables. The space also includes a wide range of experiences mainly based on contact with nature and the territory, but also on food and healthy practices.

Cervesa Marina was founded in 2010 by Kevin and Pep Andreu, brothers with Irish roots. Gregori González joined the company later in 2013. The brewery is located in Blanes, where Cervesa Marina produces all its beers along with regular collaborations with national and international brewers.

Their craft beer is made with passion and care paired with a special focus on using natural and fresh raw ingredients to ensure that all its sensory nuances can be enjoyed. Cervesa Marina picked up two silver medals at the Barcelona Beer Challenge 2016.

The brewery also organises the “Birrasana” craft beer festival in Blanes, inviting renowned national and international brewers to present their latest products and beers crafted especially for the festival. Cervesa Marina also hosts a range of activities including workshops, seminars, live music, clowns acts, street theatre, and food and wine pairings, along with a large playground for kids.

Popaire craft beers are made with 100% natural, high-quality ingredients (water, yeast, hops and barley malt). They contain no additives or preservatives. The result is an all-natural alcohol made exclusively from barley malt extract and the carbonation produced by the beer itself through a second fermentation in the bottle. Because these beers are neither filtered nor pasteurised, the yeast remains active and forms a sediment –praised for its health benefits– at the bottom of the bottle. These top-fermented beers (ales) are generally malty and result in sweeter rather than bitter beers.

The brewery staff are delighted to receive visitors in Blanes. There are organised tours available for groups of four to twelve people; visitors will learn about the brewing process and receive an introduction to the world of craft beer, followed by a tasting of four of the brewery’s own beers served with pa amb tomàquet (bread with tomato) and sausages.

The Ratafia Association is a non-profit organisation that organises activities and collaborates on projects related to ratafia (a sweet alcoholic beverage).

The organisation understands ratafia as the essence of a region and its people served in a glass. The brotherhood shares the world of ratafia by organising ratafia-making and straining workshops, tastings, guided tours and nature outings. The 1842 range of ratafias, made from recipes created by Francisco Rosquellas that same year, were found in Santa Coloma de Farners.

The primary role of the Fishermen's Association of Palamós is to organise the daily fish and seafood auction, which sells products brought in fresh by local fishing vessels: 24 trawlers, 20 small-scale boats and four seine-fishing boats. An extensive variety of seafood is caught daily, including octopus, fork-beard, hake, sardines, anchovies, monkfish and Norway lobster. The auction also includes the Palamós prawn, which currently represents 40% of the Association’s income.

This species of prawn comes with a quality label that regulates its path to the end-user, ensuring the product meets the highest quality standards from the boat to the consumer. The organisation also adheres to the HACCP food quality system to ensure all products sold at the daily auction are of the highest quality.

Also noteworthy are the organisation’s efforts to legally protect fishery resources through research on how to improve the way fisheries are both managed and marketed.

Eccocivi is the only winery currently found in the Gironès region, specifically in Les Gavarres Space of Natural Interest. We make wine in a way that is sustainable and respectful towards the environment (it is the first winery in Spain to receive the ZeroCO2 stamp).

Our philosophy consists of applying sustainable growing methods to ensure that the wine is prepared with the greatest respect towards the environment. This principle is maintained in each of the stages through to the bottling and the sale of our wines. The result is a collection of traditionally made wines marked by the character of the land and with a close link to the territory. A different winery that is worth visiting, very near the beautiful village of Sant Martí Vell.

Mas Bes is a family company that offers guided visits for all ages. The activity consists of a trip through the farm with an explanation given at each section: the life cycle of a cow, its food, the biogas plant (making the most of liquid manure to produce electrical energy), the milking room, etc. The younger members of the family are also encouraged to interact feeding the cows and the donkeys, touching the rabbits and milking Bes, the plastic cow. The visit ends up with an audiovisual presentation, a visit around the museum of old farm tools and a tasting of milk and traditionally made cake from the farm.

The farm has a shop selling agricultural products, different spaces for rental in which to hold celebrations (with a barbecue) and two rural tourism houses. It also offers a gourmet package which includes the visit to the farm and a meal.

The story of Mas Marcè can be traced back for six generations, when the Marcè family made a living as shepherds.

Mas Marcè has three main objectives: recover the Ripollesa sheep, Empordà cottage cheese and cardoon vegetable rennet (thistle) in order to make its products.

Mas Marcè opens its doors to share who they are, how they work and the final products produced by the farm. A wide range of activities for families, friends and groups are available, as well as specialised tours for schools.

Guests can visit the farm’s workshop, milking parlour, barnyard and fields where the sheep graze. The tour is followed by a tasting of five cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, Empordà wine and bread with Mas Marcè olive oil. Visitors can also choose from a selection of different workshops.

Mooma is a family project that was created three years ago with the aim of bringing the taste and the aroma of the Empordà closer to the public through a product that is not very well known in this land: cider. Mooma cider is young, fruity, with a low alcoholic content, filtered and slightly fizzy. We also prepare 100% natural single variety apple juices.

The entire production is carried out in our facilities in Mas Saulot (Palau-sator). There, we put on guided trips suitable for all the family, during which you can get to know, first hand, all the steps we follow to create our cider: harvesting, fermentation, filtering, gasification and bottling.

A landscape, the Mediterranean; and a philosophy, organic, biodynamic signature wines. Each bottle captures a piece of the Empordà and its paths filled with aromas of pleasant complexity.

Vins de Taller expresses its respect for the land and the environment by using biodynamic and organic agricultural practices. It always works hand in hand with the vineyards, joining forces with the land to make Siurana d’Empordà’s small ecosystem a space brimming with biodiversity where trees, plants, flowers, birds, bees and small animals transmit their aromatic richness to the vines. The process is completed with minimally interventional winemaking techniques and constant care for the grapes so that they find their maximum expression in the wine.

La Xiquella is a personal project for Oriol and Irma who, in 2014, moved to La Vall d’en Bas to set up a small traditional cheese dairy. Months later, they opened the doors of their home to receive and host visitors in general and, in particular, people who are inquisitive about or love the rural environment and cheeses. If you would like to share life’s small and great pleasures with them, such as local gastronomy, the peace offered by nature, bicycle rides, dreamlike landscapes, quality craftsmanship and so on, they will be delighted to welcome you to this little area of the Garrotxa region. You can find out how they make their cheeses, visit the cheese cave and the cheese dairy and taste their products or pair their specialities with D.O. Empordà wines and craft beers.
