The story of Mas Marcè can be traced back for six generations, when the Marcè family made a living as shepherds.
Mas Marcè has three main objectives: recover the Ripollesa sheep, Empordà cottage cheese and cardoon vegetable rennet (thistle) in order to make its products.
Mas Marcè opens its doors to share who they are, how they work and the final products produced by the farm. A wide range of activities for families, friends and groups are available, as well as specialised tours for schools.
Guests can visit the farm’s workshop, milking parlour, barnyard and fields where the sheep graze. The tour is followed by a tasting of five cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, Empordà wine and bread with Mas Marcè olive oil. Visitors can also choose from a selection of different workshops.
