Gualta

Gualta is surrounded by water in the form of the Ter and Daró rivers, together with the Molí, Madral and Font irrigation channels. The peace and murmur of water will accompany you on your bike rides and walks. Climb up to the summit of Font peak and enjoy a 360º panoramic view of the Empordà plain. Back in the town, walk over the famous Gualta bridge. Its five arches witnessed the battle against Napoleon to defend the town against French troops in 1809. A monolith placed next to the bridge ensures that this chapter in history is not forgotten.
