Aiguaviva

There’s no shortage of water in Aiguaviva, in Gironès. The Güell river, the Masrocs mountain stream, the Torre irrigation channel and part of the lava flow of the Crosa volcano all criss-cross this municipality. Discover some of its past in the form of Romanesque churches (Mare de Déu and Sant Jaume de Vilademany) and a castle that belonged to the Lords of Vilademany, now the Forroll farmhouse. And don’t miss an architectural jewel with many legends of knights to tell: the temple of Santa Magdalena, the ancient centre of command of the Knights Templar of Aiguaviva.
