The town of Campelles, in Ripollès, is closely associated with water and its medicinal qualities. For many years, the Montagut health resort was a place of relaxation for Catalan high society. Obviously there is much more to Campelles than just water. It is a great place for hiking, surrounded by peaks, mountains and forests. And if you are feeling a bit more adventurous, switch your torch on and explore the caves of Ribes, where Christians used to hide from attacking Arabs (according to chroniclers) and where enchanted women lived (according to some poets).
