A coastal path connects Punta Grossa, which is very close to Cala Montgó, with the Punta de la Clota Grossa over rocky cliffs and high promontories. The harsh ground conditions mean that it is not advisable to walk this route during bad weather as there is a risk of landslides. The plant life on the walk is practically virgin shrub, predominantly pine trees and thickets.
From Roca Pardalera, which is reached by a forestry road, there is a walking route which arrives at Cala Montgó itself, in the municipal limits of the town of Torroella de Montgrí. The itinerary allows the viewing of some impressive vertical, narrow cliff faces, such as a small islet called La Roca Pardalera, surrounded by rocks and separated from the coast by only a few metres.
