Platja del Salatar

Although it might seem to be a single stretch of beach running from the area around breakwaters of the river Ginjolers up to the entrance to Santa Margarita, the beaches in Roses are differentiated into four, according to which section you find yourself on: Nova, Rastell, Salatar and Santa Margarida. Salatar Beach runs for about 500 metres and is located in front of the urbanisation that carries the same name. It is sandy, as are the neighbouring beaches, and it has all the facilities you could want. With good reason, this is one of the most popular tourist areas: full of shops, restaurants, hotels... The beach itself, like those previously mentioned, has been awarded the EMAS and ISO14001, and there is also a volleyball net and a windsurfing school. It can be easily reached on foot, following the promenade and also by car or bus.
