Platja Gran

The extent of this urban beach is immense. Up to 120,927 square metres of beach available to the many swimmers who return here summer after summer. In front of the esplanade of the town centre and surrounded by hotels, bars, restaurants and shops, visitors lack nothing in terms of facilities. The beach is 2,162 metres long and is of coarse sand. At one end there is the Cavall Bernat rock, symbol of the town of Platja d’Aro. At the other end is the mouth of the Ridaura river. Numerous access points allow you to reach the Gran beach and there are a number of parking spaces in the area, the closest of which requires payment. It has been awarded a blue flag.
