Catalan Pottery Fair - Market
The fair is marked by the calendar and the return of spring. The aim is to promote outdoor activities and the festive and participatory nature of the event.
The organisers are committed to this being a fair devoted specifically to pottery, the most representative activity of the town, although they have also incorporated two other sectors with strong roots in Quart: the local cuisine and gardening and decoration.
Thanks to the time of the year it is possible to set up the fair outdoors around the Pottery Museum, which opened in 2012.
Visitors can enjoy typical tastings of dishes cooked using ceramic utensils, the raku ware workshop, the potter's wheel workshop, the children's workshop, mud baths and novelties such as a cooking workshop organised by the cuineres de Sils organisation.
There is also a plant workshop, a guided tour around pottery-related landmarks in Les Gavarres and trips on horseback or by carriage to discover some of the clay pits of Quart. And you can of course visit the Pottery Museum.
The artisan creations of the master potters of Quart, together with those of fifty exhibitors from all over Spain and France, will be on display and for sale.
