This is without a doubt the highlight of the Main Festival. It is only danced on the Sunday of the Main Festival at 5 p.m. and on the Monday at 10 p.m. in the main square. 4 couples execute the steps of the four different sections of this stately and most elegant of dances.

The origin of the Dance of the Pabordes (administrators of confraternities) is unclear. It was in all likelihood related to religious worship, since in ancient times it was common to dance inside churches as an offering to God. When dancing inside churches was prohibited, the Dance of the Pabordes began to be held outdoors but gradually disappeared until it was restored in 1945 and recovered its stately character.
