Inund’Art - Multidisciplinary Art Show
Inund’Art is a cultural platform for the creation, production and exhibition of projects related to the visual arts and other contemporary artistic disciplines. The initiative came into being in 2005 as a response to the need to provide an outlet and visibility for new art forms while creating a forum for reflection and cultural exchange in Girona and its counties. Inund'Art is committed to new artists and collectives, providing support for interdisciplinary art projects that develop a unique and innovative discourse in the creative process. The show itself is wide-ranging in nature; it combines the exhibition and presentation of a broad stylistic and disciplinary variety open to original works. It is a space for creation and reflection, accommodating innovative and risky projects that are difficult to place in more mainstream art venues.
With the intention of flooding the cultural landscape from different angles, the Inund'Art association focuses its efforts on promotion and training centres (art schools, university, art associations and promoters) encouraging the increasing professionalism of the sector and fostering the exchange of information and resources. Over the course of the rest of the year, the association's time is taken up with exhibitions and productions of the shows's winning projects and with the Call for Artists in the Visual Arts.
Meanwhile, Inund'Art opens the floodgates of art exhibition venues, expanding the scope of the show with exhibitions and artistic interventions in public areas in the city centre, generating a flux of engagement and dialogue with a non-specialised audience.
