Historic-Artistic Complex of Beget
This little town was declared a historic-artistic complex in 1983 on the basis of its architectural, traditional and scenic qualities. Beget has belonged to the valley since 1969, specifically to the municipal district of Camprodon. The town is situated at the bottom of a deep valley, at the confluence of the River Beget and the stream of Can França, where there are some lovely natural pools in which to cool down. What makes Beget so special is that it has been preserved as it was centuries ago. It is a town that has been very carefully restored, respecting traditional aesthetics: stone houses clustered around the church and on either side of the river.
