A large number of megalithic monuments have been discovered in the Gavarres mountain range, including the so-called Catalan galleries, kists and the corridor tombs, formed by long corridors that widen on reaching the burial chamber. One of the most important features in the area is the Daina cave, one of the most spectacular dolmens in Catalonia, situated in the municipality of Romanyà de la Selva. The Daina cave is a 7-metre-long Catalan Gallery formed by an entrance corridor leading to the burial chamber and a 10-metre-diameter circular tumulus.
