La Mota Dolmen


Megalithic monument discovered and excavated in 1975. Dating back to the Final Neolithic, it was used as a burial site throughout the Bronze Age, until 700 BC. It is composed of a covered gallery burial chamber with a transverse slab at the end of the chamber. Inside it measures 4 metres long and 1.60 metres across. The archaeological excavations enabled the recovery of various human and animal remains, fragments of pottery and 29 stone necklace beads.
