This Historic Monument of National Interest dates from the 1st - 4th centuries AD. The Roman thermal baths are considered very valuable for everything they represent and for being the best preserved remains of the old Aquae calidae, the present-day Caldes de Malavella.

Very high walls remain standing, while the entire operating mechanism is almost intact. They are an excellent example of thermal baths used for health purposes. Making the most of the town’s thermal waters, which spring forth at 60º C, the Romans constructed a building with a central pool and a series of surrounding rooms in which curative treatments were carried out.
