The Watercolour Museum was set up in 1989 at the initiative of the painter J. Martínez Lozano, who donated 100 works to the town council. The museum was created with the goal of making Llança a meeting point for watercolour painting and its enthusiasts, and in order to establish, over time, one of the world's most important watercolour collections. The museum currently houses 180 watercolour paintings from all over the world, and boasts an exhibition space of over 300 m2. There is a constant turnover of works on display and the collection grows each year with the addition of new works. From April to October a series of temporary exhibitions are held there, carefully chosen by the museum, representing different schools and encompassing a wide variety of trends, forms and colours.
