Girona City History Museum
A journey through the history of Girona from its Roman foundation to the present day. It occupies the old Capuchin convent of Sant Antoni, built in the 18th century, in which interesting features have been preserved, such as the cemetery or desiccator and the cistern. In addition to the main building on Carrer de la Força, its contents are distributed in various sites across the city that form part of the Network of Democratic Memorial Sites, such as the Jardí de la Infància air-raid shelter, the provincial prison and the mass grave, which are an extension of the museum room devoted to the Spanish Civil War.
