History of the City Museum

This outstanding building is composed of a mixture of architectural styles, although its foundations are clearly Romanesque. The church is a Gothic building constructed on Romanesque foundations. Situated next to it is the neoclassical building that housed the monastic rooms. The most noteworthy element is the 10th century façade featuring the enigmatic Porta Ferrada (Iron Gate).
