Maritime Museum - Can Garriga
The Maritime Museum takes you on a journey through the history of Lloret and its close association with the sea. This house is an example of the legacy of the Indianos, those who emigrated to Latin America in order to seek their fortune.
The Maritime Museum is housed in the old Casa Garriga. This building, constructed in the second half of the 19th century and located on Passeig Verdaguer, is the legacy of a glorious past, when some of Lloret's townsfolk left everything behind to seek their fortune in Latin America. In around 1860, Enric Garriga i Mataró set off on his long journey to Cuba, specifically Cienfuegos, where together with his brother he set up a construction material company.
