Quart Pottery Museum

Quart Town Council has undertaken the initiative to refurbish the facilities of an old brickyard in order to accommodate the Pottery Museum. This museum is an open cultural centre aimed at showcasing what has been one of the most important industrial sectors in the town for the last few centuries: the pottery of Quart. The town council has undertaken this initiative in order to preserve a historical site and to create a space for the conservation and dissemination of Quart's industrial heritage, to show the history of pottery making, from the first steps towards its industrialisation to the latest developments, fostering the values of the town's culture and tradition. The running theme of Quart's history is the artisan production of pottery: almost 700 hundred years of history and pottery making, which without doubt have marked the human, economic, cultural and social landscape of the municipality.

Enjoy your visit to the museum as you learn about the values of the potter's craft, which have become such a significant part of Quart's heritage.
