Lloret de Mar is the most dynamic and vibrant town on the Costa Brava and an ideal place for all kinds of outdoor activities. It has some unique sites at which to enjoy peace and quiet and to get in touch with nature.
The destination offers a wide range of establishments with striking views over the sea, hydromassage pools and treatment centres that will help you to switch off from routine while at the same time taking care of your health.
As an innovative and pioneering tourist destination, Lloret is committed to encouraging a healthy diet at its establishments; it is currently the town in Girona province with the highest number of restaurants to have been awarded AMED Mediterranean Diet certification by the Public Health Agency of Catalonia. Around twenty hotels and restaurants in the town have this award and offer a broad range of fresh local products cooked in a healthy way.
Thanks to the agreement with the Coeliacs’ Association of Catalonia, Lloret is also working to become a benchmark in managing food allergies and intolerances and is home to a series of establishments with “gluten-free” endorsement that provide safe places for coeliacs to enjoy good food. In addition to the town’s restaurants and hotels, which officially have 5,000 beds, Lloret is also home to one of Europe’s best waterparks, Water World, which has “gluten-free food range” certification.
Every year, the Lloret Nature programme offers a range of activities such as Nordic walking, kayaking and snorkelling with which to actively discover both the natural environment of Lloret and the characteristic coastal fauna and flora of La Selva region.
