Can Piferrer Rural Tourism
Can Piferrer is a rural tourism house situated between Cassà de la Selva and Caldes de Malavella, in a wonderful, peaceful setting in the heart of nature.
Can Piferrer, built in 1740, is a typical farmhouse of the plain area in the county of La Selva. It is listed as an Architectural Element of Local Interest and has not undergone any significant alteration in over 260 years. Set in a wonderful spot, it was fully refurbished in 2007, preserving its character, in order to make it suitable as rural tourism accommodation.
It is located 3 km to the south of Cassà de la Selva (the municipal district to which it belongs) within the hamlet of Mosqueroles, very close to the small town of Sant Andreu Salou. This is an unbeatable geographical location, 13 km from Girona, 15 km from the Costa Brava, 5 km from exit of the AP-7 motorway and the N-II national road, and less than 5 km from Girona-Costa Brava airport. It is clearly signposted from Cassà de la Selva and from the C-25 road (through Sant Andreu Salou).
The farmhouse is set in an area of cereal fields and is surrounded by a large green area with trees (almost 1,000 m²). It offers commanding views of the Montseny massif, the plain of La Selva, the Pre-Pyrenees and the Pyrenees.
The accommodation at Can Piferrer consists of:
The farmhouse itself, with over 300 m² per floor (ground floor and first floor), has 4 bedrooms (3 en-suite), 1 large kitchen, 1 dining room with a large hearth, 2 sitting rooms and 1 large lounge. There is also a 2000 m2 garden area with a swimming pool.
Two independent two-storey apartments, El Porxo and El Forn (formerly the stables area), are attached to the farmhouse. They can accommodate 4-5 people each and are surrounded by a large garden. They can be booked separately or together with the farmhouse. Independent 500 m2 garden.
