The Món Empordà organic market is a market where consumers can buy high quality local organic produce direct from producers. The market is also a venue for art, music, puppets and aims to promote the values of the local area and respect for the environment.
The following products are sold at the market: local organic fruit and vegetables, herbs, aromatic and ornamental plants, bread made from wheat cultivated the old-fashioned way and baked in a wood-fired oven, dairy products made from sheep, cow and goat milk, organic eggs, organic drinks and honey, organic chocolate and infusions, pulses and rice, pork, lamb, chicken, veal, truffles and wild mushrooms, wines, indigenous plants and fruit trees, home-made soaps, ointments, bio-dynamic body oils and face creams. Trades such as esparto making, blacksmithing and lathe working are exhibited, while other activities include art, music, puppets, children's workshops and so on.
The market is held on the third Saturday of each month.
