Banyoles garlic

In Banyoles and Cornellà del Terri they know all about cultivating garlic, preserving it, stringing it into bunches of 25 units and cooking it. The local variety, Banyoles garlic, is not as strong as others, which makes it more versatile for preparing all sorts of dishes. The Garlic Fair is held on the first weekend of October.
