Cuina de l'Empordanet
La Cuina de l’Empordanet is the name of a group drawn from a wide cross-section of restaurant and catering professionals that has been working for many years to promote the Baix Empordà region’s excellent local cuisine.
Back in 1995, the group of restaurateurs —which had already been organising the “Empordanet Cuisine” gourmet festivals since 1983— decided to form a non-profit organisation with the aim of working individually and collectively to improve and promote the region’s traditional cuisine.
The group comprises professionals of different ages and backgrounds, willing to combine their various skills and knowledge, to complement existing proposals and to help each other out so as to enhance the quality and prestige of a traditional cuisine that they are committed to preserving. They also take care to update and innovate it when appropriate and when public demand both at home and abroad has called for it.
