La Cuina del Vent


La Cuina del Vent was founded in 2004 when Lluís Fernández i Soler, honorary president of the Alt Empordà Hotel and Catering Association, established a gastronomy collective to introduce future generations to the organisation. The group includes professionals and establishments that reflect the gastronomic diversity of the region.

The collective carries out training activities through different collaborations with PDO Olive Oil of the Empordà, DO Empordà and others. It also promotes local products, such as cherries, sweet Catalan sausage, apples and Figueres onions, together with their local producers and is active in various gastronomic events held around the region.

This group of professionals from the Empordà grows with the purpose of transmitting gastronomy as an expression and conveying the region’s popular knowledge, accumulated throughout history, of a common climate and landscape: the Alt Empordà.
